Men's Basketball Climbs To 24th in USA Today Coaches Poll

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's basketball team has returned to the national rankings in this week's USA Today Coaches poll, coming in at No. 24. It's the eighth time this season that Creighton has been ranked by the coaches, and first ranking since Feb. 12th.

This is the 72nd different week that CU has been ranked by the coaches under Greg McDermott.

Creighton is also 32nd in the official NCAA RPI, up three spots from a week ago. The Bluejays are listed fifth among those "also receiving votes" in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Creighton went 1-1 last week, falling at Butler before posting an 89-83 overtime win over then-No. 3 Villanova. The Wildcats dropped to No. 4 in this week's AP poll, and are joined in the rankings by No. 3 Xavier.

Creighton closes the regular-season with two games this week. The Bluejays host DePaul on Tuesday night at 8:07 p.m. before heading to Marquette for a 1:30 p.m. game on Saturday.
