Bluejay Rowing Selected Sixth in WCC Preseason Poll

San Bruno, Calif. -- Creighton Rowing was selected to finish sixth in the annual coaches preseason poll, made public on Friday, March 23. Two individual Bluejays, Maddie Eyer and McKinley Wilson, were recognized with spots on the WCC All-Preseason Team.
The defending WCC Champion Gonzaga Bulldogs earned 36 points and the maximum six first place votes, while the San Diego followed with 30 points and the remaining first place vote for the second place spot.Loyola Marymount collected 25 points for third place in the preseason poll, while the Portland landed in the fourth spot with 20 votes. Saint Mary's (19 points), Creighton (10 points) and Santa Clara (7 points) rounded out the poll.
All seven WCC rowing teams are represented on the preseason All-West Coast Conference team, led by Gonzaga with four selections, San Diego with three, and the remaining five schools with two apiece.
Most WCC programs will compete in the prestigious San Diego Crew Classic beginning Saturday, March 24 at Mission Bay.
