Erin Epperson Named BIG EAST Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

Epperson helped the Bluejays' to a 3-0 start this week in Orlando, Florida with six victories. The freshman claimed three straight-sets victories during singles play, including a 6-1, 6-1 decision at the No. 2 position against John Carroll on Monday night. She also paired with Claire Embree for three wins at the No. 2 doubles position while dropping a total of four games.
The Bartlesville, Oklahoma native, is tied for the team-lead with nine singles victories (9-2) this season and is a perfect 4-0 with Embree during doubles play.
Epperson is the second Bluejay to be honored by the BIG EAST this season as Michaela Henne earned Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honors on Feb. 7.
Creighton continued play in Florida today with a match against Niagara University. The Bluejays wrap up their Spring Break trip with a match on Thursday against Hampton.Â
