Match was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. and will now start at 2 p.m.
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's soccer team is scheduled to host its first home match of the 2018 spring season on Saturday, April 7 against Denver at Morrison Stadium at 2 p.m.
The match had been scheduled for 1 p.m., but snow and cold temperatures forced the contest to be moved back an hour.
The Bluejays have already played two road matches against professional competition earlier this spring.
Creighton traveled to Kansas City and played the Swope Park Rangers to a 1-1 draw on Feb. 24. Luke Haakenson scored the Bluejays' lone goal while newcomer and Boston College transfer Younes Boudadi received credit for the assist.
On March 17, the Jays traveled to Minnesota to play the reserves of Minnesota United FC. Creighton earned the victory, 1-0, and Sven Koenig scored the game-winning goal as Joel Rydstrand tallied an assist on the play.
Beginning with Saturday's match against Denver, the Bluejays will host a total of three matches this spring at Morrison Stadium. Creighton hosts Hastings College on April 14 at 8 p.m. as part of Omaha's annual Kicks For a Cure event, and welcomes Northern Illinois for a match on April 21 at 1 p.m. Admission is free of charge to all three matches at Morrison Stadium.
