Ryan Tapani Named Collegiate Baseball Third Team All-American

Tucson, Ariz. -- Creighton senior Ryan Tapani was named a Third Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper on Thursday, May 31.
The Bluejay ace collected 10 wins (10-1) in 14 starts, finishing his Bluejay career tied for the best winning percentage in school history at 13-2 (.867). Ryan tossed 94.1 innings in 2018, collecting 95 strikeouts and an impressive 2.38 ERA. In BIG EAST action, the right-hander was 4-1 in six starts.
The last Creighton players to earn All-America honors were Matt Warren and Reagan Fowler following the 2014 season.
