Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton women's basketball head coach Jim Flanery announced the addition of graduate transfer Morgan Turner (Lipscomb) for the 2018-19 season.
Turner appeared in 28 games off the bench during 2015-16 as a freshman and saw action in 21 contests during the 2016-17 season, including 10 starts. Turner was unable to play during the 2017-18 season due to an injured back. She is expected to provide immediate depth on the block for the Bluejays and also offers a threat from beyond the arc as the Kentucky native was
11-of-31 (35.5%) from long range as a sophomore.
In 49 combined games with the Bison, Turner played a combined 641 minutes in 49 contests. She had 153 points, 109 rebounds and 29 assists.
"We do not typically go the transfer route, but Morgan fits the Creighton culture very well," said Flanery. "We like her versatility and her experience, she can stretch the defense and also provide a presence in the paint."
Morgan graduated with a Business Marketing degree in just three seasons with the Bison, she enters Creighton with two years of eligibility remaining.
