CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Creighton University's Sarah Eversman, Margaret Hickey, Caroline Lake and Amelia Lee are among 1,011Â collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association as All-American Scholars.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. The 2017-18 WGCA All-American Scholar Teams can be found at http://gocreighton.com/documents/2018/7/5/WGCA_AllScholar_Release_1718.pdf.
Eversman was honored for the fourth consecutive year, while Lake earned a third straight recognition. It was the first such honor for both Hickey and Lee, who recently completed their rookie campaigns at CU.
Creighton's four honorees were tied for the third-most in the BIG EAST, and match its most since the recognition of the 2015-16 All-American Scholars by the WGCA.
The Bluejays, who placed sixth at the BIG EAST Championships in April, are coached by Debbie Conry. Creighton has owned a top-25 GPA nationally three of the previous four years. The 2017-18 team academic awards will be announced later this month.
