Twice an all-MVC forward and the league's leading scorer, Conrad "Cornie" Collin suffered a knew injury during a football scrimmage against the freshman prior to the 1933 season. Despite withdrawing from both the football and basketball teams due to injury, Collin became the first athlete in school history to captain both squads.
