Werner Jensen, M.D., was a men's basketball player from 1927-30. Jensen was the outstanding man of the year on the team in 1929. He had the highest individual scoring records and was on numerous All-American and All-Western teams. After receiving his M.D. degree from Creighton in 1932, he was one of Omaha's leading orthopedic surgeons, and for 42 years was a member of the Creighton School of Medicine faculty.
