The only All-American in Creighton women's soccer history, Jessica Powers Davis, becomes the program's first player inducted into the Bluejay Athletics Hall of Fame.
Powers Davis played just two seasons at Creighton, but her name is found throughout the record book. She owns single-season records with 48 points, 18 goals, and 12 assists, as well as single-match marks with nine points and four goals.
Powers led Creighton in points in goals in both 1997 and 1998, while also topping the squad in assists and shots on goal in 1998.
Her 1998 season remains one of the best in MVC history. In addition to being named Valley Player of the Year, she was also chosen first-team all-Central Region and a second-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
She was twice named to the Soccer America National Team of the Week in 1998 and twice earned MVC Player of the Week as well.
Her honors didn't stop there, as the cum laude graduate was also honored as a CoSIDA Third-Team
Academic All-American and a first-team member on the MVC's Scholar-Athlete Team.
While at Creighton, Powers Davis played for 2003 Hall of Fame inductee Ira Philson, and the Jays went a combined 23-13-2. She finished her career ranked third with 71 career points and 27 career goals, and tied for third with 17 assists.
The Birmingham, Ala. native was recently named to the MVC's All-Centennial Team. She is currently an attorney specializing in the area of public interest law. Jessica and her husband William have a daughter, Ellen, and reside in Birmingham.
