Korie Lebeda becomes the second volleyball player to join the Creighton Athletics Hall of Fame. She set a Missouri Valley Conference record with 13.34 assists per set as a freshman in 2005, then was named First Team All-MVC in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Lebeda started all 119 career matches and owns the school record with 5,281 career assists as well as the top two single-season assist totals in program history. Also a First Team selection on the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, Lebeda helped the Jays to a pair of 21-win seasons that were school records at the time.
After graduating from Creighton, Lebeda played internationally for the Voley Murcia team in Murcia, Spain, in the 2009 season. She worked as an assistant volleyball coach at Papillion-La Vista High School and worked at the Volleyball Academy in Omaha. She was also selected to play for the Great Plains Tornados semi-pro team through USA Volleyball.
