Mary Yori earned First Team All-America honors during her junior year, after leading the Bluejays in hitting (.354 average), hits (67), runs (50), RBI (36), and extra-base hits (16). The 50 runs scored in 1981 and her 13 triples in 1980 still stand as Bluejay single-season records. A Second Team All-American as a junior, this .325 career hitter struck out only 27 times in 594 career plate appearances. Yori was inducted into the Creighton Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992, along with her sister and Bluejay basketball standout, Connie Yori.
