Nate Funk, a 2007 graduate of the College of Business Administration, was a first-team all-Valley, and all-District selection his junior year, leading Creighton in scoring with 17.8 points per game and rebounding at 5.1 per game. Although injured during his senior season with a shoulder injury and medically redshirted, he finished his years at Creighton as one of just six players in Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) history to play in three MVC Tournament finals victories. Funk played in three NCAA tournaments and one National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and amassed a long list of player honors.
After graduating with a marketing degree, Funk played professionally with teams in Germany and Turkey.
