Renae Sinkler-O'Gorman

Renae Sinkler-O'Gorman starred on the diamond for the Bluejay Softball team from 2007-10, then contributed to the program's success as an assistant coach from 2012-21. She won a title in each of her four seasons with the Bluejays as a player, as Creighton won three straight regular-season crowns from 2007 to 2009 and Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championships in 2007 and 2010.

The Lincoln native put together the greatest offensive season in school history as a senior in 2010, setting single-season school records for runs (59), RBI (58), total bases (147), slugging percentage (.880), on-base percentage (.514) as she hit an MVC-record 24 home runs. She ranked fourth in the NCAA in home runs per game and sixth in slugging percentage, earning NFCA Third Team All-America honors as a senior.

By the time she graduated, Sinkler-O'Gorman had crushed a then-Creighton record and ranked third all-time in MVC history with 50 career home runs. She also owned school records of 146 RBI and 391 total bases. A member of three Bluejay NCAA Tournament teams, she earned MVC First Team honors three times, NFCA All-Region honors twice and remains one of four players in league history named MVC Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. In 2018 she was named to the MVC's Women's Softball 25-Year Team.
Sinkler-O'Gorman was also part of the 2013 MVC Coaching Staff of the Year. She graduated from CU in 2011 with a degree in graphic design and minors in computer science and web design, then completed her master's in organizational leadership in 2020.
O'Gorman and her husband Paul reside in Omaha. They have a daughter Lillyana and a son, Dominic.
