Kraus scored his sixth goal of the season 29 minutes into the match. The junior's original attempt to serve the ball into the goal area was sent back to him by a Bradley defender. He then used his second opportunity to blast a left-footed shot past a diving Chris Dunsheath in the BU net. His rocket from nearly 20 yards proved to be all the offense CU would need and marked Kraus' team-leading fourth game-winning goal of the year.
Junior Ryan Junge put the Bluejays up 2-0 just five minutes later. The Jays leading offensive defender started the play with a throw in to Byron Dacy. Dacy touched the ball back to Junge and he moved to the middle of the box and sent a low shot from 18-yards past the MVC's Defensive Player of the Year Dunsheath.
Matt Allen benefitted from out-standing defense, as the CU goalkeeper did not need to make a save in the Jays' fourth straight shutout. Danny Minutillo kept the CU shutout by clearing a ball off the line just 15 minutes into the match on a shot by Drew DeGurian.
The Jays are now 12-4-3 on the season and have earned the MVC's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament. The tournament field of 48 will be announced live on ESPNews at 3 p.m. (CST) on Monday. CU will be making its 14th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tourney.
