
Creighton Comes From Behind to Win MVC Men's Soccer Tournament in Overtime

Creighton (13-4-3) trailed 1-0 after a Joe Donoho penalty kick in the 61st minute provided Bradley's (8-8-4) only score of the match. The kick was awarded after a hand ball inside the box was whistled against the Bluejays.
The Jays had a variety of chances to tie the match before Dacy's equalizer. The Bluejays out-shot the Braves 20-2 in the second half and 3-0 in the five minutes of overtime. But it came down to a Ryan Junge throw-in with less than 10 seconds to play. Junge's long throw went into the box where Tony Schmitz got a foot on the ball and Dacy managed to blast a shot past BU keeper Mike Haynes.

The win was CU's first this year when the opponent scored first, as CU is now 1-3-0 in such situations. The victory adds to the Jays' record MVC tournament title total, giving the Jays their 10th championship, as they were appearing in their 12th title match.
Dacy was named the tournament MVP, while Schuler, senior Michael Kraus and junior Tim Bohnenkamp were also represented on the all-tourney team.
The win locks up Creighton's 15th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance (only Virginia, UCLA, Indiana and St. John's have been to each of the last 14 along with the Bluejays).
