Tennis Fundraiser
Each year, Dr. Jim & Pat Manion hold a benefit at their home (11202 Old Maple Road) which raises nearly $20,000 for the Creighton University men's and women's tennis teams. The 2006 event was scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10 starting at 2 p.m.
Head tennis coach Tom Lilly and all of the men's and women's tennis players were on hand for games on the courts with the kids while the adults enjoyed the hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill prepared by Jaybackers Tom Kiefer and Mark Enenbach plus beverages and assorted treats.
Sponsorship cost was $200 which included family admission to the event and up to four tennis t-shirts or $25 per adult at the door.
