Men's Tennis Drops Pair Over Weekend

OMAHA, Neb. - The men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches, 7-0 to Southern Illinois and 6-1 to Indiana State. The Jays are now 0-4 in Valley play this season.
In Saturday's match against SIU, Kyle Obermeier and James McAvoy won the lone match for the Bluejays on the day, defeating the Saluki tandem of Anton Leonenko and Pavlo Buryi, 8-3.
On Sunday McAvoy picked up two victories, this time defeating Blake Douglas of Indiana State 6-0, 6-3 in singles, before teaming with Obermeier to defeat the Redbird duo of Milos Pavlocic and Blake Douglas, 8-5.
Creighton will look to get back in the win column on Friday, April 10 against Bradley.
