Men's Tennis Defeated by Bradley 5-2

OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton men's tennis team dropped the fourth straight match, third straight at home, falling 5-2 to Bradley. The match was Creighton's last home match of the season as they travel to Illinois next weekend and then the MVC Championships at the end of the month. Creighton drops to 7-8, 0-4 in the MVC while Bradley improves to 14-7, 1-1 in conference play.
Kyle Obermeier and Sean Mathison fell to Hamish Weerasinghe and Justin Abrams in the No. 2 doubles 8-5 to start the day. Creighton's Billy Paluch and J.T. Christian then defeated Ashton Kalhorn and Eric Nguyen 8-4 to put the point from doubles on the No. 3 finish. In a close and hard fought battle, Juan Cuadrado and Kevin Keiner defeated Gabe Nagy and Ryan Norman 9-8 to give the Braves the doubles point.
Nagy turned around and evened the score at 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles over Nguyen. Abrams defeated Mathison 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 6 singles to put the Braves up 2-1. Cuadrado then gave the Braves the two point advantage by defeating Christian 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
Creighton picked up the next point at 3-2 with Norman's come from behind victory at the No. 5 singles, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. But the Braves would take the next two points to win 5-2. Kalhorn defeated Obermeier 6-0, 7-5 in No. 3 singles followed by Weerasinghe defeating Paluch 7-6, 4-6, 10-4 (playing the final to 10 since the match was decided).
