
No. 20 Saint Louis Stuns No. 3 Creighton in Overtime 1-0

Creighton suffered its first loss of the year to drop to 5-1-1 on the season while Saint Louis improved to 6-1-0. The Bluejays dominated the scoring chances in the match but could not convert a goal.
The teams ended regulation in a 0-0 tie. But minutes later SLU's leading scorer this season, Robert Kristo, recorded the game winner at 93:54 of overtime to give the Billikens a victory. It marked his fourth goal and second game-winning tally of the season.
Freshman Lucas Stauffer led the Jays on offense with four shots on goal. Creighton's Connor Sparrow allowed just his third goal of the season while playing every minute in net tonight, but he suffered his first loss of the year to drop to 5-1-1.
The final result marks the first loss of 2014 for the Jays and first road victory of the season for the Billikens.
The Bluejays are now 1-1 against top 25 squads this season and 66-45-14 all-time versus NSCAA Top 25 teams. CU is 17-12 in games decided by one goal since the beginning of 2012. The Jays are 18-8 in matches ending in a 1-0 score since the start of 2011.
Creighton's last regular-season setback inside Morrison Stadium was by the same result as tonight. The Bluejays fell to Villanova 1-0 in overtime on Oct. 19, 2013.
The No. 3 Bluejays begin 2014 BIG EAST action against those Wildcats next Saturday at Villanova with a 12 p.m. CT start.
