Women's Practice Facility
Designed primarily for the women's basketball and volleyball programs, the Women's Practice Facility will complete the east campus athletic corridor and provide much-needed additional practice space for all student-athletes. This facility acknowledges the hardworking, talented coaches and student-athletes Creighton hopes to retain and sends a strong national message showing Creighton Athletics' dedication to women's athletics, our student-athletes and coaches. Morrison Stadium
Opened in 2004, Michael G. Morrison, S.J., Stadium is still considered one of the nation's elite collegiate soccer venues. The Morrison Stadium upgrade is a much-needed enhancement to the stadium. While the facility has already received upgraded field turf, score board and hospitality amenities, this project is a continued effort to keep Morrison Stadium as the top inter-collegiate soccer venue in the country while fulfilling additional program and spectator needs in the facility.
Construction on the project will begin in the next few weeks and will conclude in time for the start of the 2018 fall soccer season. This project will consist of constructing coaching, staff and resource offices to the north side of the upper concourse. Additional suites will be added in order to enhance fan experience and add and improve to event space. Morrison Stadium will also be winterized to provide maximum usage opportunity for student-athletes, staff and the community during winter months. The existing club area will be renovated to include an in-venue lounge area for men's and women's soccer student-athletes.

D.J. Sokol Arena/Ryan Athletic Center Graphics
The Creighton Women's Basketball and Volleyball programs have continued to find great success both on and off the court. The volleyball team captured their third consecutive BIG EAST regular-season and tournament titles after going a perfect 18-0 in regular-season conference play. The program made its second consecutive Sweet 16 appearance and advanced to the Elite Eight. Creighton Volleyball finished the year ranked a program-best ninth. In an inaugural conference tournament appearance in 2016, the Women's Basketball team advanced to the BIG EAST Conference Tournament championship game. This season, the Bluejays were picked as the favorite to win the BIG EAST Conference regular-season title and they look to make their 10th straight postseason appearance.
The Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center and D.J. Sokol Arena have been the home of great success for our women's basketball and volleyball programs since 2009. The 78,134 square-foot facility seats 2,950 fans and houses coaches' offices, locker rooms, the athletic ticket office, athletic training room, meeting rooms and luxury lounge for our student-athletes.

Construction on the remodel has begun and will conclude in time for the start of fall ball and the fall semester in August. The locker room renovations will feature 37 new lockers, cabinetry and carpeting along with Creighton Baseball/Softball signage and graphic displays. Further, new flat screen TVs, other media options, couches and chairs will fill the locker room to allow for players to relax and watch sporting events or game film of their own. The showers and bathroom amenities will also be greatly improved to provide a nicer, more convenient option for the student-athletes. In the future, we also hope to enhance the amenities of the lounge area in the Kitty Gaughan Pavilion for both the baseball and softball programs. This project would entail new couches, chairs, televisions and also feature a kitchenette and gaming area with a pool and ping-pong table. New graphic art displays highlighting our program's success will also be installed to enhance the look and feel of the lounge.
