Sophomore Rachael Saunders started the Bluejays on a 5-0 run to close the quarter with a pair of free throws, then Agnew connected from long range to make it 26-18 after one period.
The Kansas native (Agnew) opening the scoring with another trey to bring the Bluejays within five at 26-21, but West Virginia answered the Bluejays surge by pushing its lead out to 36-25 (6:30). Another easy back cut for Agnew drew a timeout from Mountaineers head coach Mike Carey with 6:01 left in the second. Although West Virginia knocked down a three-ball out of the timeout, the momentum of the game turned with the Mountaineers holding a 39-27 lead (5:43).

Agnew delivered Creighton's first five points with a driving layup, followed by a trifecta from the right wing to make it 39-32 (4:51). Fellow senior Olivia Elger joined the long range fun with a three-ball, then Agnew knocked down her fourth trey of the half to bring Creighton within a point at 39-38 (3:38). Elger continued the trend with another three-pointer to take the lead, then Agnew dropped in a layup in the final minute to push the Bluejays out to a 43-39 lead (0:51). A late Mountaineer bucket sent the squads to halftime with Creighton holding a slim 41-39 edge.
Holding a 45-43 lead early in the third, the tandem of Elger and Agnew went back to work to ignite a 7-0 run. Elger made it a 47-43 game with a pull-up jumper in the paint, then Agnew contributed a traditional three-point play. Sophomore Gracey Griglione capped the surge with a 16-footer, giving the Bluejays their largest lead of the game at 52-43 (8:15).
Late in the third the Mountaineers trimmed Creighton's lead down to four at 58-54, but juniors Temi Carda and Tataum Rembao answered with a driving layup (Carda) and a trey from the top of the key by Rembao to send the contest to final frame with Creighton holding a 63-54 lead.
