
Men's Soccer Inks Three Players In Preparation For Fall Season

Charles Auguste, Diego Dutilh and Aron Eli Gislason will join the Bluejays for the sqaud's Aug. 12 report date
OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton men's soccer head coach Johnny Torres announced on Friday, July 26 the addition of three student-athletes for the 2019 season. Charles Auguste (Canada), Diego Dutilh (Chile) and Aron Eli Gislason (Iceland) will each join the program and compete for playing time this fall.Â

The Creighton men's soccer team reports for the fall season on Aug. 12 and starts training on Aug. 13. The Bluejays will play three preseason exhibition matches, including two at Morrison Stadium (Aug. 21, Missouri State, 7 p.m.; Aug. 24, UIC, 1 p.m.).

Creighton's regular season home-opener is scheduled for Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. against defending national runner-up Akron for the Bluejays' 2019 Socctoberfest.Â

September 6 also marks the first of four 2019 Johnny Torres Jays Kicks Club Luncheon dates. The luncheons will be held at Anthony's Restaurant & Lounge (72nd and F Streets) at noon on Friday, Sept. 6, Friday, Sept. 27, Friday, Oct. 18 and Friday, Nov. 1. A season pass for the luncheons is $95 per person, while individual luncheons may be purchased at $25 per person with a reservation made at least 24 hours in advance of the luncheon. Each event will include insight on how the team is progressing, what to look for in upcoming matches plus newsletters with updated statistics, BIG EAST Conference news and door prizes.
