Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team officially kicked off the 2019-20 season with the first official practice on Tuesday, Sept. 24 inside the new women's basketball and volleyball practice facility "The Ruth" at 2 p.m.
Returning for his 18th season with Bluejays, head coach Jim Flanery will try to guide Creighton back to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four seasons. Injuries derailed the Bluejays last season as Creighton closed 2018-19 with a 15-16 record. The Bluejays return three starters from last years team, led by BIG EAST All-Tournament selection senior Jaylyn Agnew (11.1 ppg and 6.6 rpg).
Creighton's lone exhibition game for 2019-20 comes on Oct. 22 when the Bluejays welcome Concordia (Neb.) to D.J. Sokol Arena at 7:00 pm. The regular season kicks off on Nov. 5 as Creighton battles crosstown rival UNO at Baxter Arena at 7:00 pm
