Athletic Department Honored For Work On Three Publications By CoSIDA

2019-20 CoSIDA Publications Contest Results

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Three Creighton University Athletics publications were recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) during the organization's annual publications & design contest.

A pair of volleyball items were recognized as second-best in their respective category. Sports Information Director Rob Anderson and Assistant Director of Marketing - Multimedia & Design Joey Gardner contributed on the women's volleyball media guide and its cover, which trailed only the West Virginia volleyball media guide. Anderson also wrote the notes that placed second in the University category for game notes among fall sports, trailing only Alabama State's football notes.

In addition, Creighton's men's basketball game notes were recognized for the second straight year, placing fifth in the University category for game notes among winter sports. Those notes are produced and updated prior to each game by Anderson.

There were 30 Division I colleges, universities and conference offices that were honored overall, but Creighton's three accolades were tied for sixth-most nationally. The only other BIG EAST school to be honored was Xavier, which won one award.

The 2020 awards haul gives the Creighton Sports Information Office 23 awards and honors in the last 13 years for its excellence in publications, writing and overall service to the media, including multiple awards in each of the last five years.
