#23 Volleyball Sweeps DePaul; Remains In First With Senior Day Win

Bluejays now 3-1 in BIG EAST play
OMAHA, Neb. -- No. 23 Creighton Volleyball remained in first place in the BIG EAST with a 3-0 win vs. DePaul on Saturday, March 6th. The contest served as Senior Day for the Bluejays, who recognized seniors Grace Nelson and Mahina Pua'a after the contest.
Scores in favor of CU were 25-22, 25-20, 25-13.
Kiana Schmitt had a career-high 12 kills on .750 hitting in the victory for Creightno (6-2, 3-1 BIG EAST), while Jaela Zimmerman (13 kills), Annika Welty (8 kills, .615%) and Keeley Davis (8 kills, 10 digs) also starred offensively as the Bluejays hit a season-high 385. Creighton had 47 kills, 35 digs and 15.5 blocks.
DePaul (3-5, 3-5 BIG EAST) was led by Meredith Wallace and her eight kills. The Blue Demons had 31 kills, three aces, 33 digs and two blocks on .120 hitting.
Creighton returns to the court on Friday when it visits Butler in a match that begins at 5 p.m. Central to start its final weekend of BIG EAST action.
