Bluejays will host nine regular-season home matches
OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton men's soccer head coach Johnny Torres unveiled his squad's 2021 schedule on Thursday.
The Bluejays will host nine regular season matches at Morrison Stadium, including five against BIG EAST opponents. Each of Creighton's home matches will feature a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The Bluejays' slate also features an early season road contest against perennial powerhouse and defending national runner-up Indiana (Sept. 3). The Hoosiers went 12-2-2 last season and fell 1-0 in overtime during the 2020 Championship match – played on May 17, 2021. Creighton and Indiana's last meeting came during the 2012 College Cup in Hoover, Alabama, which resulted in a 1-0 Hoosier victory.
Overall, five of Creighton's 2021 opponents reached last year's NCAA Tournament (Georgetown, Indiana, Marquette, University of Nebraska Omaha, Seton Hall).
The Bluejays open the year with three exhibition matches, beginning with a road contest in Kansas City against the Roos on Aug. 14. Creighton concludes the preseason slate with home matches against Iowa Western Community College (Aug. 17) and Bradley (Aug. 20).
The regular season starts on Aug. 26 as the Bluejays host Tulsa at 7 p.m. inside Morrison Stadium.
Creighton hits the road for its next three matches, including a Labor Day weekend trip to Bloomington, Indiana for the IU Credit Union/adidas Classic where the Bluejays will play a true road contest against Indiana (Sept. 3) and a neutral site affair with Ohio State (Sept. 6).
Creighton starts BIG EAST action with a home contest against Georgetown (Sept. 18). The Hoyas concluded their 2020 season (completed in spring of 2021) with a loss during the NCAA Quarterfinals to eventual national champion Marshall.
Following a road trip to Queens, New York for a Sept. 24 match at St. John's, Creighton will host crosstown rival UNO on Sept. 29 and UIC on Oct. 2 for its final two nonconference matches on the schedule.
The final eight contests of the regular season are against league foes, including three of the final four at home. The Bluejays conclude their 10-game BIG EAST slate with a Wednesday night match on Nov. 3 at Morrison Stadium against Providence.
The 2021 BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship Presented by JEEP will be played Nov. 6-14 at a site to be determined. The title match with the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament on the line is set for Sunday, Nov. 14.
Creighton season ticket holders will receive an email later this month regarding their 2021 Men's Soccer season tickets. Single-match tickets will go on sale at a later date. Morrison Stadium will be at full capacity for the 2021 season.
The Bluejays finished an abbreviated 2020 season during the spring of 2021 and registered a 6-6-0 overall record, including a 5-3-0 record in BIG EAST play. Creighton returns all 22 players that appeared in at least one match last season, including BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year and United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team selection Diego Gutierrez, as well as four other All-BIG EAST selections. The Bluejays also added seven freshmen for the upcoming season.
