Volleyball Moves to 15th in AVCA Poll

OMAHA, Neb. -- Two days after having its 17-match win streak snapped, Creighton Volleyball dropped four spots to 15th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll released on Monday.
Creighton (25-4, 17-1 BIG EAST) split a pair of road matches last weekend, a trip highlighted by a 3-0 victory at DePaul that clinched a share of the program's ninth consecutive BIG EAST regular-season title. The Bluejay RPI fell three spots to 16th in the official NCAA RPI.
Marquette (26-2, 17-1 BIG EAST), which shared the BIG EAST title with Creighton after topping the Bluejays on Saturday night in Milwaukee, moved up two spots to No. 14 in the poll.
The Bluejays have now been ranked each of the last 28 polls and 105 times in program history. That figure ranks tied for 43rd-most in history. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017. Creighton is 170-39 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll. This is the 11th straight season that Creighton has spent at least one week in the top-25, another program record.
Creighton hosts the BIG EAST Tournament, Presented by JEEP, this week. Play begins on Wednesday at 1 p.m., but the second-seeded Bluejays have a bye to the semifinals and won't play until 7 p.m. on Friday against the winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal between Xavier and Butler.AVCA Division I Coaches Poll:
