Bluejay Men's Soccer Unveils 2022 Fall Schedule

Omaha, Neb. – Creighton men's soccer head coach Johnny Torres announced the Bluejays' 2022 schedule, featuring 13 home matches inside Morrison Stadium and six matches (one in the exhibition portion) against teams that reached the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Each of the Bluejays' six NCAA Tournament foes won at least one game in the NCAA Tournament last season, as did the Bluejays.
Creighton's exhibition season features two matches, all in Morrison Stadium, beginning on Friday, August 12 at 6:30 pm as the Bluejays host Drake. The final exhibition contest brings the first NCAA Tournament opponent in Denver on Friday, August 19 at 6:30 pm.
The regular season begins on Thursday, August 25 as Oakland comes to Omaha for a match at 6:30 pm. The season continues on Sunday, August 28 as the Bluejays host Rutgers at 6:30 pm, while the first NCAA Tournament opponent of the regular season brings Saint Louis to Morrison on Friday, September 2 at 6:30 pm.
Creighton faces San Diego State on Monday, September 5 at 6:30 pm, then welcomes Stanford for Socctoberfest on Friday, September 9 at 7:00 pm.
The first road match of the season comes on Wednesday, September 14 as the Bluejays make the short journey across town to battle Omaha at 7:00 pm.
BIG EAST conference play begins at home against Connecticut on September 17 (6:30 pm), then the Bluejays face Kansas City in the final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday, September 20 (6:30 pm).
The conference season resumes in earnest on Saturday, September 24 as the Creighton travels to Georgetown for a match at 12:00 pm (CT).
After one road BIG EAST contest, the Bluejays host Villanova (October 1) and St. John's (October 8) in a pair of contests at 6:30 pm, then hit the road for matches at Xavier on Wednesday, October 12 at 6:00 pm (CT) and at Seton Hall on Saturday, October 15 at 6:00 pm (CT).
The final four BIG EAST matches alternate home and road contests as the Bluejays host Butler (October 19) and DePaul (October 29), while heading to Marquette (October 22) and Providence on November 2 to close out the regular season.
The 2022 BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship presented by Jeep is scheduled to starts on Sunday, November 5 with first round matchups, continues with semifinals on Thursday, November 10, and conclude with the title match on Sunday, November 13.
