Volleyball Ranked 17th in AVCA Poll; 18th in RPI

Creighton (13-4, 4-2 BIG EAST) went 1-1 last week on the road, losing at Marquette before bouncing back one night later to sweep DePaul.
The Bluejays are one of 16 schools (along with Baylor, BYU, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 38 polls. Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 107 weeks the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 115 times in program history, which is 40th-most among all programs all-time. Creighton is 185-44 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll, including 15 straight regular-season home wins.
CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017. This is the 12th straight season that Creighton has spent at least one week in the top-25, extending another program record.
The top five of the poll features Wisconsin, Nebraska, Stanford, Washington State and Oregon. BIG EAST leader Marquette remained among the schools also receiving votes after Friday's victory over the Bluejays.
Creighton owns three wins over current top-25 teams, having defeated No. 15 Purdue (3-0 on Aug. 26), No. 24 Minnesota (3-2 on Sept. 16)Â and No. 25 Iowa State (3-1 on Sept. 10).
Creighton is back in action on Friday at 6 p.m. when it hosts Georgetown in the program's annual Pink Out, then hosts Villanova on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on FloSports and can be heard on KZOT (1180 The Zone).
