Perfect 10: #15 Volleyball Sweeps Seton Hall

Bluejays have won 30 straight sets
SOUTH ORANGE, N. J. -- The No. 15 Creighton Volleyball team swept its 10th straight match on Friday with a 3-0 victory over host Seton Hall.
The Bluejays won 25-17, 25-18, 25-20 and have now also won 50 straight sets against the Pirates.
Creighton (22-4, 13-2 BIG EAST) never trailed in a 25-17 set one victory, breaking away with a 7-0 run on libero Sydney Breissinger's serve to take a 20-11 advantage and closing out the set with a kill from Kiana Schmitt. Creighton hit .586 in the first set with Kendra Wait accounting for 19 assists and a kill. Norah Sis had five kills and Schmitt and Ellie Bichelmeyer contributed four each in another dominant effort.
The Bluejays hit .548 in the second set to take a 2-0 lead. Sis had six kills and Kiara Reinhardt had four kills as once again the Jays steadily pulled away from the hosts.
The third set was the closest of the night and tied at 20-all before three straight points put the Bluejays in control. Schmitt's eighth kill closed the night as the senior hit .700 in 10 swings.
Sis led all players with 16 kills on .414 hitting and Bichelmeyer had her second straight contest in double-figures with 10 kills. Reinhardt hit .571 and added nine kills, while Ava Martin also had nine kills. Wait had a huge night, finishing with 46 assists, six digs and five kills on .556 hitting. Creighton hit .465 overall and had 57 kills, five aces, 46 digs and three blocks.
Seton Hall (14-13, 8-8 BIG EAST), which was coming off a 3-0 sweep of former BIG EAST co-leader St. John's, was led by nine kills on .533 hitting by Hanna Tulli. Taylor Jakubowski, sister of former Creighton soccer standout Taryn Jakubowski, topped Seton Hall with 14 assists. The Pirates recorded 33 kills, five aces, 29 digs and hit .263 but did not record a block.
Creighton plays its final road match of the regular-season on Saturday at 4 p.m. Central when it visits St. John's on ESPN+.
