Volleyball Adds Penn State Transfer Maddy Bilinovic

Former Nittany Lion libero owns 790 career digs
OMAHA, Neb. -- Maddy Bilinovic, a defensive specialist and libero with the Penn State program the previous four seasons, is transferring to Creighton to play her fifth and final season of collegiate volleyball.
An Independence, Ohio native, Bliniovic (BILL-in-OH-vick) played in 103 matches at Penn State, collecting 790 digs, 179 assists and 58 aces for the seven-time national champions. The Nittany Lions reached the NCAA Tournament all four years, advancing to the Regional semifinals in three of those seasons.
"We are so excited to welcome Maddy to the Bluejay Volleyball family," said Creighton Volleyball coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth. "We recruited Maddy out of high school, so we are thrilled that she has selected to finish her college career as a Bluejay. Maddy is a fierce competitor, and brings a wealth of on-court experience from her years at Penn State. We look forward to having her join our squad this spring."
Bilinovic had 213 digs and 19 aces during the recently-completed 2023 season while playing primarily as a defensive specialist. Her most productive campaign came in 2022 when she collected career-highs of 437 digs, 117 assists and 28 aces while playing as PSU's libero in all 34 contests.
A Management major, she twice earned a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten Team.
Creighton finished the 2023 season with a 29-5 record, reaching the program's third Sweet 16 since 2015 in addition to earning a 10th straight BIG EAST regular-season title.
