Men's Soccer Opens 2023 Exhibition Season with 4-0 Win Over Northern Illinois

Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton men's soccer team picked up the 2023 exhibition right where the 2022 College Cup team left things, scoring goals seemingly at will. The Bluejays delivered a 4-0 win over Northern Illinois in the opening match of the exhibition season on Saturday, Aug. 12.
Junior Malte Kaiser delivered the first goal of the match in the 28th minute, sending home a pass from sophomore Ben Foulks. Also picking up an assist on the play was junior Jackson Castro.
Creighton's second tally came early in the second half as graduate Alfie Pope converted a penalty kick. The Bluejays' final two goals of the match came in the 71st and 90th minutes from freshman Ali Ramadan.
Creighton returns to the pitch on Wednesday, Aug. 16 as the Bluejays host Drake in the second exhibition match for squads at 6:00 p.m. in Morrison Stadium.
