Men's Soccer Battles UC Irvine to a 0-0 Draw

Irvine, Calif. -- No. 8 Creighton men's soccer battled UC Irvine to a 0-0 draw in the second match of the weekend for both squads on Sunday, Aug. 27.
Following the contest Creighton returns home at 0-1-1 on the season, while UC Irvine moved to 1-0-1.
Junior Nathan Schnur was the Bluejay star, closing the contest with six saves, including three in breakaway situations. UC Irvine goalkeeper Luke Pruter made two saves in the contest.
Creighton was out shot, 11-6, while UC Irvine held a 4-3 edge in corners created. The Anteaters notched a pair of corners in the final minute of play.
The Bluejays open their home schedule on Friday, Sept. 1 with a match against Grand Canyon at 7:30 p.m. in Morrison Stadium.
