Bluejays won tournament at Purdue last weekend
The Bluejays are one of 18 schools (along with Baylor, BYU, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Texas, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 32 polls. Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 101 weeks the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 109 times in program history, which ranks 43rd-most all-time. Creighton is 174-41 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll.
CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017. This is the 12th straight season that Creighton has spent at least one week in the top-25, extending another program record.
After losing its season-opener to unranked Long Beach State, Texas dropped from the No. 1 spot to No. 7 this week. Taking over the top five spots in the poll are Wisconsin, Stanford, Louisville, Nebraska and Minnesota. Creighton's BIG EAST rival, Marquette, fell from No. 12 to No. 19.
Creighton will host the Bluejay Invitational next weekend, facing Ball State (Friday, 6 pm), LSU (Saturday, 5 pm) and Northern Iowa (Sunday, 2:30 pm). LSU received XX points in this week's poll and are among those schools "also receiving votes".
