San Francisco, Calif. -- Creighton Women's Basketball puts its eight-game win streak on the line as the Bluejays face #1 UCLA (11-0) in the Chase Center (home of the Golden State Warriors) on Friday, December 20 in a game televised on FS1 at 10:00 p.m. (CT).

Creighton and UCLA have faced off three times, twice during the 2017-18 season and again last season. The squads met in the South Pointe Thanksgiving tournament in 2017 in Las Vegas, then faced off in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in Pauley Pavillion in 2018 and again in 2024. The Bruins claimed each battle, but last season the contest was considerably more competitive.

Scouting #1 UCLA (11-0)
The Bruins have been one of the most impressive teams this season, climbing into the top spot in the poll with a decisive win over previous top team South Carolina (77-62 on Nov. 24).
Leading the way for UCLA is center Lauren Betts with 19.8 ppg as well as 10.0 rpg. Three other Bruins average better than 10 points per game. Kiki Rice, Gabriela Jaquez and Janiah Barker average 11.5, 11.1 and 10.7 points per game respectively.
The Bruins defense is another area of strength, limiting opponents to 51.6 ppg.
Scouting Creighton (9-2)
The Bluejays have won eight straight, including six consecutive away from home.
A few differences during the win streak has been a focus on rebounding and defense. The Bluejays have held opponents to 61.5 ppg over the last eight games, shooting just 43 percent. On the glass the Bluejays have out rebounded opponents by just under five per contest during the win streak.

Creighton's 76-60 win over Wyoming saw seniors Morgan Maly and Jayme Hornan combine for 46 points, getting 29 from Maly and a career-high from Horan.
Maly was dominant with a 12-for-15 (80.0%) showing from the field, hitting two of three from beyond the arc. Horan, meanwhile, was 6-for-10 from long range to provide more than a boost off the bench.

Earlier this December the Creighton Men's Basketball team upset #1 Kansas, claiming a 76-63 win on Dec. 4.
