OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton women's tennis head coach Tom Lilly announced the signing of Mithila Dixit, the No. 1 ranked player in the state of Kansas, for the 2025-26 season.
"I have followed Mithila's career for a few years and believe she continues trending upwards," said Lilly. "Her college career should bring out her finest tennis. Getting to know her better as a person really solidified that she will fit in great on our team and with our culture. We are excited she has chosen to further her career here at Creighton."
Dixit, an Olathe, Kansas native, is one of the top junior players in the country. She is ranked as the No. 1 player in Kansas, the No. 3 player in the Plains region, No. 99 in the nation and earned a four-star rating, according to TennisRecruiting.Net.
Playing on the USTA Circuit over the past few years, Dixit owns a 27-12 record and partnered with Sydney Fuger to earn a second-place finish in USTA Heart of America's Girls' 18s doubles this past summer. Additionally, Dixit was a USTA Level 2 National Semifinals last year and claimed the USTA Level 3 Missouri Valley Championship in the fall of 2020.
Having played on the USTA Circuit, Dixit joined her high school team this past fall, recording a 22-1 overall record while earning the Kansas Class 6A Singles State Championship. She became the first player at Olathe Northwest High School to win the singles state championship.
