Bluejay Women's Basketball Rises to #21 in AP Poll

Omaha, Neb. -- With a pair of victories to close out the regular season over Xavier (99-57 on Feb. 27) and at Seton Hall (72-65 on March 3), the Creighton Women's Basketball (24-4, 15-3 BIG EAST) team rose to No. 21 in the latest AP Poll released on Monday, March 4.
In the weekly NET rankings released by the NCAA, Creighton remained No. 24, while the USA Today/Coaches poll will be released on Tuesday, March 5. Last week Creighton was No. 20 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.

Two BIG EAST teams remain in the AP Poll as Connecticut (26-5) leads the conference at No. 9, while the Bluejays are at No. 21.
The Bluejays have been in 16 of the 18 AP Polls this season and 17 of the 18 USA Today/Coaches polls.
Having earned the No. 2 seed in the BIG EAST, Creighton returns to the court on Saturday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m. on FS2 in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament against either No. 7 Seton Hall or No. 10 DePaul . The Pirates and Blue Demons play an opening round game on Friday, March 8.
