Jensen, Maly and Ronsiek Earn All-BIG EAST First Team

Omaha, Neb. -- As No. 21 Creighton Women's Basketball prepares to travel to Connecticut for the BIG EAST Tournament, the Bluejays' Big Three of Lauren Jensen, Morgan Maly and Emma Ronsiek were rewarded for an excellent 2023-24 season with a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team, announced on Thursday, March 7.
This is the second consecutive All-BIG EAST First Team honor for Jensen, who leads Creighton with 63 treys this season. She is also the Bluejays' second leading scorer at 17.2 ppg and is second with 89 assists. Lauren has led Creighton in scoring in 13 games, in assists 10 times and has grabbed 104 rebounds in 28 games. Jensen was the conference's Most Improved player following the 2021-22 season, earning All-BIG EAST Second Team
Maly is also collecting her second straight All-BIG EAST First Team honor, posting a team high 6.6 rebounds per game (184 total) to go with 415 points (14.8 ppg). A multi-level threat, Morgan has 61 three-pointers, but has become a dangerous option in the post and is shooting 93.9 percent from the free-throw line. Maly has led Creighton in rebounding in 14 games, five times in scoring and five times in blocked shots. Creighton's leading scorer this season, Ronsiek has 489 points (17.5 ppg) and 155 rebounds (5.5 rpg) as the Bluejays enter the BIG EAST Tournament. Emma is having her best season as a Bluejay, earning All-BIG EAST First Team honors for the second time. Emma led the Bluejays in scoring 12 times, rebounding five times, assists five times, steals in seven games and blocked shots 13 times this season. She was an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection last season and earned First Team honors after the 2021-22 campaign.
The No. 2 in the BIG EAST Tournament, Creighton faces either No. 7 Seton Hall or No. 10 DePaul on Saturday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m. (CT)
