Bluejay Women's Tennis Continues Play at Gopher Invite

Minneapolis, Minn. -- Creighton women's tennis continued play in day two of the three-day Gopher Invite on Saturday, September 21.
In doubles play the teams of Karli Vo and Alem Cote as well as Ana Paula Martinez and Oliviia Minkel collected victories to split a pair of matches, while Phiippa Roy and Valerie Negin dropped two contests.
Singles play saw the Bluejays go 4-2, including a 6-3, 6-3 win for Negin over BIG EAST for Andie Weise of Marquette.
"We let another doubles match slip away today after having match points and just didn't play well at times," said head coach Tom Lilly "Our doubles will be a big focus the rest of the fall practices. We had more success in singles and looked pretty good overall. Keeping a consistent level of play will be important to improve the rest of the fall as well."
The Bluejays conclude the Gopher Invite on Sunday, September 22.
