Volleyball Jumps to No. 16 in Poll After Sweep of Kansas

Bluejays host 11-1 Xavier on Friday
The Bluejays went 7-5 in non-conference play despite facing seven Top 25 foes and five others who have received votes at some point this fall. Last week Creighton lost 3-2 to No. 1 Nebraska before sweeping South Florida and No. 17 Kansas to clinch its 14th straight season with at least one tournament title.
The Bluejays are one of 12 schools (along with Baylor, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 67 polls. The streak began on Sept. 6, 2021 and is a program-record.
Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 136 times the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 144 times in program history, which ranks 39th-most all-time. Creighton is 240-53 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll.
Including 2025, Creighton has spent at least one week in the Top 25 each of the last 14 seasons. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 5, which came four straight weeks last November (Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18, Nov. 25, 2024).
Nebraska remained in the top spot after a 10-0 start that includes five Top 25 wins and is ahead of Texas, Kentucky, Stanford and Pittsburgh.
Friday's BIG EAST opener against 11-1 Xavier will start at 6:30 p.m.
