1/17 & 1/19 Results: Men's Hockey Wins 1 out of 2 in a Tightly Contested Weekend

Omaha, Nebraska -- Men's Hockey had a busy weekend, traveling to Saint Peter, Minnesota on Saturday, January 17th, to take on Gustavus Adolphus College and then hosting Nebraska (Omaha) at Baxter Arena on Monday, January 19th. Both games were tightly contested.
The Bluejays were able to take the win on Saturday against the Golden Gusties. A couple highlights included Carter Kipp with 6 goals including the game-winner, Dawson Lukey with 5 assists and a goal, and Nathaniel Koborg tallied 5 points for the team with 2 goals and 3 assists. Goalies David Larson and Arjun Hemmady combined for 27 saves on 37 shots.
The game against the Mavericks ended with a one-goal loss on Monday, despite some last-second, heroic attempts to send the game to OT. Goals were spread out amongst Lukey, Tony Newton, Kipp, and Cole Pedersen. David Larson had a strong showing of 47 saves out of 52 shots faced.
