The excitement of basketball season has arrived, and we are preparing to welcome thousands of passionate Bluejay fans to CHI Health Center Omaha and D.J. Sokol Arena in the months ahead. Are you ready? We certainly are.Â
Coaches Alan Huss and Jim Flanery, along with our men's and women's basketball student-athletes, have been working tirelessly since the end of last season in pursuit of BIG EAST championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. We have an exceptional group of young men and women who will proudly represent Creighton University and the Omaha community both on and off the court.Â
I look forward to seeing many of you at home games, on the road, and at events throughout the season. Your energy, enthusiasm, and support make a tremendous difference. Our teams thrive because of the incredible atmosphere you help create.Â

Before the season officially begins, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our fans, donors, corporate partners, and friends of Creighton Basketball. Your investment in our student-athletes has helped build two of the premier basketball programs in the BIG EAST Conference. Because of your support, we are positioned for another exciting and successful year.
Thank you for being such an important part of Bluejay Athletics.Â
We got our first look at the women's basketball team this week when they hosted Truman State in an exhibition game. The men will have their final exhibition and tune-up tonight against Minnesota at 7:30 p.m., with the game also available on YouTube.
Single-game tickets for both programs are available now. For men's basketball, tickets to the Nebraska and Gonzaga games are available exclusively through mini-plan packages.

Our men's soccer team continues its remarkable undefeated season and returns to Morrison Stadium for the first time in nearly a month on Saturday, October 24, when they host Butler at 7 p.m.Â
Currently ranked No. 8 nationally, the Bluejays are competing for a BIG EAST Championship and need your support. Let's pack Morrison Stadium and create one of the strongest home-field advantages in college soccer.

Potential NCAA Legislative Changes to Men's Soccer Calendar
On October 7, the Division I Cabinet affirmed a proposal to shift the men's soccer season to a two-semester model, with competition segments in both the fall and spring seasons and the championship occurring in the spring. Because the proposal did not receive 75% approval, it now enters a 30-day rescission period. If at least 241 Division I institutions do not vote to overturn the measure, the new format will take effect beginning with the 2027-28 academic year.
Supporters of the change, including student-athlete representatives, believe the year-round model will enhance player development, provide healthier recovery periods between games, and reduce travel demands during the academic year.Â
Under the proposed structure, teams could play up to 18 matches during the fall season and up to 10 matches during the spring while maintaining the current annual maximum of 25 contests.

Women's Volleyball: Championship Push Ahead
There are three remaining regular-season home volleyball matches. We need your support packing D.J. Sokol Arena as the team competes for a conference championship. A sold-out, loud, and energetic arena could be the difference!
Creighton will also host the BIG EAST Championship on November 21- 22. Success in this tournament could play a critical role in securing an NCAA Tournament berth. Let's make D.J. Sokol Arena the most difficult place to play in America and help power these young women to another NCAA tournament berth.

Baseball Season Tickets and 2027 Schedule
Baseball season may still be a few months away, but now is the perfect time to secure your seats for another exciting spring at Charles Schwab Field. The 2027 home schedule includes series against Milwaukee, Fresno State, Connecticut, St. John's, and Xavier, as well as a May 11 game vs. Nebraska. The Bluejays will also face significant road challenges, including two games against Nebraska and a two-game series at Stanford.
Season tickets are just $175. This program has reached back-to-back BIG EAST Championship Series and is determined to return to the NCAA Tournament after narrowly missing out following a conference runner-up finish last spring.Â
Don't miss the opportunity to support this talented group throughout the season.
