Men’s Tennis Falls at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Creighton Men's Tennis team went toe-to-toe with powerhouse Oklahoma State before dropping a 7-0 decision on Friday night at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.
The Bluejays fell to 4-2 on the year with the loss, while the Cowboys improved to 5-2 with the victory.
Creighton's top doubles team of Rocky Mckenzie and Jack McMahon kept the first match of the night within reach before Oklahoma State clinched the doubles point with 6-1 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions, marking the first time all season that the Jays have lost the doubles point.
Holding a 1-0 edge, Oklahoma State continued to control the match capturing straight set victories on all six singles courts to complete the 7-0 sweep.
McMahon forced a first-set tiebreaker, but dropped a 7-6 (6-4) 6-2 decision on the No. 6 singles court.
Creighton wraps up its weekend trip to Oklahoma with a match on Sunday morning against Tulsa at 8 a.m.
