OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton women's tennis head coach Tom Lilly announced the addition of transfer Ella Lewis to the 2026-27 roster on Thursday.
Lewis, an Asheville, N.C. native, joins the Bluejays as a graduate transfer following three seasons at Quinnipiac, where she helped guide the Bobcats to back-to-back MAAC Championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.
"We are excited to have Ella join our 2026-27 squad," said Lilly. "She is a tremendous student first and foremost, being able to graduate from Quinnipiac in 3 years. Ella has a very consistent game and a relentless competitive spirit that will be a great addition to our Bluejays lineup. I look forward to working with her in a couple of months as she begins her graduate program."
In her three years with the Bobcats, Lewis combined for 27 wins, including 21 victories in singles action. She has had previous success against the BIG EAST, defeating UConn's Victoria Matos, 6-2, 6-1, in straight sets as a freshman.
Lewis has also excelled in the classroom, earning her bachelor's degree in business in just three years. In addition, she also garnered ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete team honors in all three years.
Lewis attended the Bridgeway Academy prior to her collegiate career, where she went to Quinnipiac as a three-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.net with a 22.80 ITF World Tennis Number.
