Men’s Tennis Claims ITA All-Academic Team Award, Honors Four Individuals

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Creighton Men's Tennis team secured a 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award while four individuals earned scholar-athlete awards, the ITA released on Monday afternoon.
The Bluejay honorees including recent graduate Zachary Kuo, rising junior Rocky McKenzie and rising sophomores Jack McMahon and Lucas Mommessin.
This is Kuo's third ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, while McKenzie, McMahon and Mommessin are each claiming scholar-athlete honors for the first time in their careers.
The Bluejays boasted a 3.56 team GPA during the spring semester and a 3.45 GPA last fall, collecting the team's 17th ITA All-Academic Team award in the last 18 years.
Within the sport of tennis, student-athletes continue to exceed expectations in the classroom and on the court. In 2026, 1,008 Division I Men's Tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes with 162 men's tennis programs earning All-Academic Team recognition.
To be nominated for ITA Scholar-Athlete consideration, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria: 1.) have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 2.) be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Team listed on the All-Academic Team list, meanwhile, boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher.
