BIG EAST Women's Basketball Schedule Revealed, Beginning with UConn

Omaha, Neb. -- The BIG EAST portion of Creighton's Women's Basketball Schedule was announced on Thursday, September 17 with the Bluejays opening conference play against the defending champion UConn Huskies in Storrs, Conn. on December 16. The women's schedule features a true round robin BIG EAST slate of 20 games.
Four of the Bluejays' first five BIG EAST games will be on the road as Creighton travels to DePaul for a contest on December 20, before opening the home slate against Butler on December 22. Following the holiday break Creighton goes east once more for an extended trip, facing Seton Hall in New Jersey on December 30 and battling Georgetown in the nation's capital on January 2.
Returning home to face Villanova on January 7, the Bluejays host UConn on January 10 and St. John's on January 14. A one-game trip takes the Bluejays to Providence on January 17, then Xavier comes to Omaha on January 20.
The second half of the conference schedule begins with consecutive road games at Butler (Jan. 24) and at Marquette (Jan. 28), before another three-game homestand for the Bluejays. The trio of games in D.J. Sokol Arena features Seton Hall (Jan. 31), Georgetown (Feb. 6) and DePaul (Feb. 10).
The final five contests of the conference schedule takes Creighton to St. John's (Feb. 14), Villanova (Feb. 21) and Xavier (Feb. 24), while Providence (Feb. 18) and Marquette (Feb. 27) come to Omaha.
The Bluejays closed the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 16-15, including an 11-9 mark in BIG EAST action. Creighton won eight of its last 11 games, earning the fifth-seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. Freshman Ava Zediker guided Creighton to a victory over Marquette in the opening game for both teams, before falling to UConn. Zediker and Neleigh Gessert highlighted postseason honors in 2025-26 as both earned a spot on the BIG EAST Freshman Team. Zediker was also a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection.
The BIG EAST Tournament, Presented by JEEP, will take place on March 5-8 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.Â
