2016-17 (Junior):
Owens was forced to miss the 2016-17 season due to a hip injury, using her redshirt option.
2015-16 (Sophomore):
Pressed into the starting lineup in the seventh game of the season, Jade didn’t simply step up, she jumped to a new level ... Owens started the remaining 29 games, playing 1,012 minutes ... Jade led the Bluejays in assists (121) and also closed the season tied for the team lead with 170 rebounds ... She dished out a career-high eight assists in the Bluejays’ 89-46 win over Marist on Nov. 15 ... Owens reached double figures for the first time in her career, scoring 10 points, in Creighton’s 91-66 win over East Carolina on Nov. 26 ... She nabbed seven points and seven steals in the 66-60 overtime victory versus Eastern Washington on Nov. 28 ... Jade delivered 14 points, all in the first half, of the Bluejays’ battle with South Dakota on Dec. 12 ... Owens’ six rebounds led the Bluejays against St. John’s on Dec. 29, while her 11 points marked the third time she reached double figures ... Jade played 35 minutes against Seton Hall, scoring 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds on Dec. 31 ... Owens knocked down two game-clinching free-throws at Villanova on Jan. 5 as the Bluejays earned their first BIG EAST win of the season, 65-62 ... Five days later she nabbed three offensive rebounds, seven overall, to go with five assists in the Bluejays’ 77-49 win over Butler on Jan. 10 ... Jade approached a triple double with 10 points, eight rebounds and six assists at Marquette on Jan. 24 ... The diminutive point guard came up big with nine rebounds in the Bluejays’ 53-48 win over Villanova on Jan. 29 ... Owens had one of the best games of her career in the Bluejays’ 83-81 win over Marquette on Feb. 19, approaching a triple-double with 14 points, eight assist and seven rebounds ... Jade wrapped up the regular season with another fine effort, going 6-for-9 from the field and dishing out seven assists in the Bluejays’ 64-57 win at St. John’s ... Owens collected 13 points and dished out seven assists in the Bluejays’ opening win at the BIG EAST Tournament over Providence, 70-53, on March 5 ... Two days later Jade posted a career-high 16 points in Creighton’s 77-56 win over Seton Hall on March 7 ... Jade closed out her sophomore season with seven rebounds in the Bluejays’ WNIT matchup at South Dakota on March 16.
2014-15 (Freshman):
Owens appeared in 31 games as a freshman, averaging 17.9 minutes ... Jade collected her first points as a Bluejay in Creighton’s 64-56 win over Utah on Nov. 20, scoring two points on 1-of-4 from the field ... Owens delivered six points with three field goals in the Bluejays’ 63-52 win over Cincinnati in the Cal Classic on Nov. 28 ... Jade had a breakout game with nine points as well her first career block in Creighton’s 58-56 win at Northern Iowa ... All nine of Owens’ points came in the second half ... Jade delivered back-to-back strong performances at Xavier (Jan. 2) and at Butler (Jan. 4) as the point guard posted six points in each contest ... Jade enjoyed her trip home to Chicago, scoring eight points and grabbing six rebounds against DePaul on Jan. 23 ... Owens delivered four assists in the Bluejays’ 74-65 win over Xavier on Jan. 30 ... Jade dished out season-high six assists in the Bluejays’ 87-54 win over Providence on Feb. 15 ... Owens was outstanding again against her hometown school, DePaul, on Feb. 20 ... She finished with nine points and four assists in 28 minutes ... Jade recorded seven points, seven rebounds and three assists in the Bluejays’ win (82-60) over Marquette on Feb. 22.

Named one of the Top-50 Players by the Chicago Tribune, Owens came to Creighton from Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Ill ... A four-year starter, Owens averaged over 19 points, five assists, four steals and five rebounds over her final two seasons ... A two-time All-State selection by Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association, Owens led the Friars to the state tournament in each of her four seasons.
