Eisner brings 12 years of head coaching experience to the CU sideline, having coached at Bellevue (Neb.) University from 2000-08 and at Viterbo (Wis.) University from 1995-99 to a collective record of 305-110 (.735).
Both his 2004 and 2008 Bellevue teams reached the NAIA II National Tournament championship game, while his 2007 team was ranked No. 1 in the final regular-season poll. He owned an overall record of 226-56 (.801) with the Bruins.
His Bellevue teams made seven trips to the NAIA II National Tournament and won six Midlands Collegiate Conference titles. Five of his final six teams finished the regular-season ranked in the top-10 nationally, and all eight of his teams won 22 or more games.
At Viterbo, Eisner’s teams went 79-54 and won the 1998 Midwest Classic Conference regular-season title and reached the quarterfinals of the 1999 national tournament.
Either Eisner or head coach Dana Altman (or both) has been part of the Creighton Basketball program every season since 1986-87.
Eisner played on three postseason teams (1989-1991) and two MVC champion squads for the Bluejays from 1986-91. The former team captain played in 97 games, including 64 starts, while totaling 502 points and 264 assists in his career.
