Rusk moved into her role as Assistant Director of Student Athlete Academic Services in September of 2025, after spending the previous 18 months within Student Life roles at Creighton. Before beginning her tenure as a Bluejay, Haley spent five years at University of Wisconsin-Platteville working in Student Success as well as an Adjunct Professor.

Throughout her professional career Rusk has assisted collegiate students strive for academic and personal success navigating the journey through towards graduation. Her career began as graduate teaching assistant at Northern Iowa in August of 2016.

She earned her Master's in Communication Studies from Northern Iowa and collected her Bachelor's from Iowa State also in Communication Studies.

Haley also spent one year working directly in athletics, serving as an Operations Intern for the Waterloo Black Hawks from the fall of 2017 through the spring of 2018.
